52 Card Challenge – Week 6

It was back to the prompt jar for this week’s 52 Card Challenge and the prompts were

Butterfly

Paper

Hot Pink

Having rediscovered my Cosmo Cricket DeLovely 6×6 pad for last weeks challenge I thought I would dig into it again for this week’s Hot Pink. I used my Cameo to cut out the butterfly overlay, again it’s similar to last weeks but I liked it so much I thought why not?! And as for paper, I think I can safely say I have used some of that

Anyway, I had all those butterflies flapping about on my desk and making a nuisance of themselves so I thought I might as well make another card!

This one is a bit more subdued, paper is from My Minds Eye Stella Rose Hattie 6×6 pad, love the chevrons!

52 Card Challenge – Week 5

The prompt for week 5 was to make a card featuring some sort of aperture. I thought I would go for a Valentines card and made full use of my Silhouette Cameo to cut out this gorgeous heart overlay and sentiment. Patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket DeLovely.

PS. Scuse crappy picture yet again, I can’t even blame the camera this time!

Yes, still using the October Afternoon stash! This is from the Fly A Kite pad, various shapes cut on the Cameo and the stamps are by Waltzingmouse. I did make this for a sketch challenge I saw on a blog somewhere but I can’t actually remember where now!

I stamped some images with my mums stamps a few months ago – here’s one I coloured a while ago, I think it is a Mollie Blooms stamp? The doily behind was cut on the Cameo, and the papers are from Bo Bunny.

Week 4′s challenge was to use a sketch provided by Nat here. I thought I would use some more of my October Afternoon stash (why have I never had any of this stuff before? Tis lush!) and paired it up with a doily I cut on the Cameo.

Creative Craft World – Mini Challenge

Today is the launch day of something new over at Creative Craft World – following the success of the 12×12 kits Lou has launched a fantastic mini kit, perfect for cards, mini books and journals.

Today is also the day where we are launching our new monthly challenge over at the Creative Craft World Challenge Blog – A Mini Challenge!

We challenge you to make something small – it could be a card, a layout, a minibook, anything so long as it is smaller than 12×12. You don’t have to use the mini kit to enter, and you can link your project up on the challenge blog to be in with a chance of winning a great prize.

This month’s mini kit uses the Yours Truly collection from Echo Park along with plenty of co-ordinating cardstock, ribbons, buttons and a couple of gorgeous doilies. I managed to make 4 cards from mine and still have a little bit left over

The only extra’s I added were a few stamps, stickles, shimmer mist and of course I used my Cameo too!

Can’t wait to see what you all come up with…

This weeks prompt was a theme

Bunting, banners, pennants and flags

Ooh, I do love a nice bit of bunting, lol, and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to use this paper from one of my Kraft Funday 6×6 pads that I got for Christmas. The flags are from a Waltzingmouse stamp set (Bitty Banners), stamped in white chalk ink on kraft card and then attached to the seam binding with little staples.

It’s the 17th of the month so it must be time for the Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party! It feels like forever since I have managed to join in with the monthly blog hop although it’s probably just a few months

The theme for this month is SWEET THINGS so I thought I would use a stamp from the Rescue Remedies set to make this “any occasion” card.

I cut the fancy envelope on my Cameo, using a design from the Silhouette store and a little die cut and flower for the closer.

I paired the stamp up with some papers from My Minds Eye – A Beautiful Life 6×6 collection, along with another couple of die cuts, a few flowers and some twine.

Thanks for visiting – and also, scuse the rubbish photo’s! *note to self, go and retrieve the big camera from downstairs instead of just using your iPhone! I promise I will replace the photo’s with better one’s when I have chance!

Edited to add – have now managed to get my act together and take better photo’s!

I got my new Christmas stash out again this week and used more papers from my October Afternoon Schoolhouse pad, I thought they fitted the bill for the primary colours! I used the Cameo to cut a variety of different shapes and layered them up, and then stamped a sentiment directly onto an old 7 Gypsies journalling spot. I’m not sure I can really claim for a handmade embellishment though! Still, never mind – stash has been used, cards have been made. It’s all good

PS. Scuse the slightly less than amazing photo – couldn’t be bothered going all the way down 2 flights of stairs to retrieve the big camera so just used the iPhone instead!
