It’s time for another Scrap Map Challenge over at the Creative Craft World blog.
We had so much fun last month we have decided to do another design team blog hop this month to show you the projects we all made using Sue’s sketch for this month. Pop over to the blog to see the sketch and if you want to start from the beginning of the blog hop that’s the place to be!
Dont forget to leave a comment on all the blogs in order to be entered into the prize draw, plus there is another prize up for grabs if you use the sketch and link us up.
Its the first Saturday of the month so that means it’s time for a new Scrap Map Challenge over at the Creative Craft World blog!
This month we are doing things a little differently and the design team are hosting a blog hop to show you the layouts we made from Sue’s sketch. Make sure you click over to the blog to see the sketch that we used, and don’t forget to link us up to your layouts too. You have hopefully arrived here from Ali’s blog Alipeep’s Art, and your next stop will be Lou’s blog Loopy Lou’s Crafty Mess. Make sure you leave a comment on each blog along the way to be entered into the prize draw!
It was so nice to scrap these lovely sunshiny pictures from a couple of years ago on a cold January day, while the piles of snow from the weekend are still melting on my garden. Sometimes I feel like I will never be warm again
I used papers from Echo Park’s Paradise Beach collection (perfect for summer pictures!) along with plenty of Silhouette die cuts.
Here’s a full list of blogs participating in the blog hop this month…

It’s the start of a new year and time to make a start on our first challenge of the year over at Creative Craft World! Today is the launch of the new scrap map challenge for January – head over to the CCW blog to see the sketch and the other layouts from the design team.
Jamie is 4 soon – how time flies! He will be starting school this year, sob, I want my baby back! (not really!)
Well never mind, at least I have something to share, creativity has been a bit thin on the ground of late, but I do feel a bit more inclined to play with my pretty papers at the minute so shall keep going while the going is good!
I made this layout using the latest Scrap Map Saturday sketch, which you can see over at the Creative Craft World blog, along with all the other pages that the design team have created.
I used Echo Park Paradise Beach papers, both 12×12 and 6×6. Funnily enough I wasn’t really sure if I would use these papers when I bought them as some of the patterns are a bit, er, specific, shall we say? Flip flops and surf boards, anyone? However the B-sides all have lovely patterns so I have found those much more usable and they are coming in handy for scrapping Cornwall pictures from earlier in the year.
The title and sunburst patterns were cut on the Silhouette, and I apparently can’t get enough of Studio Calico wood veneer shapes at the moment, they are my embellishment of choice!
Anyway, it’s time for another Scrap Map Challenge at the Creative Craft World blog. You can see the sketch that I used as inspiration for my layout over there, along with the other layouts from the rest of the Design Team.
I took these pictures back in March this year when we had a day out on the East Lancs railway. Jamie enjoyed riding on the steam train!
It’s time for a new monthly challenge for August at the Creative Craft World blog. Sue has provided us with a fab sketch to work from as usual – you can take a look at what the rest of the design team came up with here, and don’t forget to link us to your scrapbook page if you use the sketch for a chance to win.
I picked this picture that I had taken with my iPhone and gave it an Instagram treatment before emailing it to myself and printing out (sounds long winded but it really isn’t!)
I went for a random selection of papers – the aqua blue and the orangy yellow for a summer feel and the brown to tie in with the photo. I added a die cut from the Silhouette store for the title and some journalling which reads as follows…
We visited Newquay Zoo on what was probably the hottest day of the year so far. You were miserable in the heat and you only cheered up when we had lunch under the shade of a big umbrella and you got to wear Mummy’s sunglasses!
I have just realised that I have completely forgotten to add the date so will probably pop that on there now. I used my Promarkers to colour the title as I couldn’t find any suitable card stock, think it worked quite well!
You know, I have realised that these days it is quite rare that I scrapbook just for the sake of it – usually it’s for a design team project or a challenge or whatever, but this one is just because!
I got a few pictures printed at my local Costco including a few of these larger sized 12 x 8 prints, perfect for scrapping! Title is a die cut from the Silhouette store (of course!) and I got to use some of my new washi tape and Studio Calico wood veneer shapes from the CCW shop too.
*layout is straight in real life, only photography skills are wonky
** I cannot be held responsible for the amount of wood veneer cameras / arrows / hearts that may appear on craft projects in the next few weeks. There are a lot of shapes in one packet and I like to get my monies worth
Last week we had a fab blog hop around the UK Scrappers sponsor blogs. Lou asked me to create a project for the Creative Craft World blog, and I thought I would showcase some of my favourite die cutting techniques (hey, I’m a Silhouette Cameo girl, what can I tell you!)
Visit the Creative Craft World Challenge blog to see the sketch we used this month and don’t forget to link us up to your layouts for a chance to win!
It’s time to launch the new Scrap Map challenge for May over at the Creative Craft World Challenge Blog. Here’s what I did with the sketch – now let’s see what you can do! Don’t forget to leave a link to your projects on the challenge blog to be in with a chance of winning.
