52 Card Challenge 2012 – Week 14

The prompt for week 14 was to use a sketch for our cards – see here.

As usual, it was more inspired by rather than following the sketch completely, but I made a card (eventually!) and that’s what matters!

Papers are from My Minds Eye On the Bright Side 6×6 pad, die cuts all cut on the Cameo, designs from the Silhouette store. Sentiment stamp from Waltzingmouse’s Compact Sentiment’s set – definately my new “go to” set, I love it!

52 Card Challenge 2012 – Week 13

I had to hang on to post this as it was for my Mum’s birthday, but as she has now had the card ( a couple of days early, but she said it was her official birthday today so I think that makes it OK ;-) ) I can post, just in time to make me up to date before the new challenge is posted tomorrow!

The challenge for week 13 was to use lace or doilies (or both!) on your card.

I used some My Minds Eye papers from the Howdy Doody 6×6 pad, Waltzingmouse stamps Nordic Spring and Compact Sentiments, and layered the kraft circle on top of a doily to give it a little frilly edge. I finished off with a coat of Mr Huey’s Calico Shine which gives a lovely pearlised effect to the card.

52 Card Challenge 2012 – Week 12

The prompts for Week 12 were to create a card to celebrate Easter or Spring. I went with Easter then I could make use of the lovely Happy Easter stamp from Waltzingmouse stamps. Papers are Cosmo Cricket, egg die cut from the Silhouette store.

Birthday Wishes

Yes, still using the October Afternoon stash! This is from the Fly A Kite pad, various shapes cut on the Cameo and the stamps are by Waltzingmouse. I did make this for a sketch challenge I saw on a blog somewhere but I can’t actually remember where now!

52 Card Challenge – Week 3

This weeks prompt was a theme

 Bunting, banners, pennants and flags

Ooh, I do love a nice bit of bunting, lol, and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to use this paper from one of my Kraft Funday 6×6 pads that I got for Christmas. The flags are from a Waltzingmouse stamp set (Bitty Banners), stamped in white chalk ink on kraft card and then attached to the seam binding with little staples.

Waltzingmouse Stamps January Blog Party

It’s the 17th of the month so it must be time for the Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party! It feels like forever since I have managed to join in with the monthly blog hop although it’s probably just a few months ;-)

The theme for this month is SWEET THINGS so I thought I would use a stamp from the Rescue Remedies set to make this “any occasion” card.

I cut the fancy envelope on my Cameo, using a design from the Silhouette store and a little die cut and flower for the closer.

I paired the stamp up with some papers from My Minds Eye – A Beautiful Life 6×6 collection, along with another couple of die cuts, a few flowers and some twine.

Thanks for visiting – and also, scuse the rubbish photo’s! *note to self, go and retrieve the big camera from downstairs instead of just using your iPhone! I promise I will replace the photo’s with better one’s when I have chance!

Edited to add – have now managed to get my act together and take better photo’s!

Christmas Cards

I’ve got some Christmas cards to share with you over the next few days – just trying out a few different things! On this one I used papers from the Authentique Wonder 6×6 pad, Seasonal Remedy and Holiday Labels 14 stamps by Waltzingmouse. Finished off with a little machine stitching around the edges and some buttons and button twine.

52 Card Challenge Week 43

The prompts for week 43 were layers, stamping and holiday, I think I have covered all of those! I used some older Christmas papers from my stash, I think they are K&Co – who doesn’t love a pink Christmas Card! My Waltzingmouse stamps came out to play again too ;-)

The first Christmas Card of the year…

Well it’s that time of year again! Yep, pull out the sparkly, glittery, blingy embellishments – it’s Christmas card time! I was eagerly awaiting the release of the latest Waltzingmouse stamps and I love these two sets, Nordic Winter and Seasonal Remedies. I used lots of distress stickles on here too although it doesn’t photograph very well!

I Love Promarkers Challenge #79 – Easel Card

I followed a link to the I Love Promarkers blog a few days and found a whole blog full of inspiration! I thought I would have a go at the latest weekly challenge which is to make an easel card, using ProMarkers of course! I used this image of a cute little fella in the bath from Mo Manning’s Digital Pencil Too and coloured him with my ProMarkers.

Other supplies – Fancy Pants papers, Waltzingmouse and Hero Arts stamps, Nestabilities Lacey Squares and Labels 14.
