Christmas Countdown – Day 7
Hello and welcome if you have made your way here from the Creative Craft World blog. It’s my turn with a countdown project today and I have 3 super simple Silhouette cards to show you.
For those of you who don’t have one of these fantastic machines, now is your chance to get one on your list for Santa – it’s the most used tool in my craft room!
Card number 1 – I used a couple of different die cuts from the Silhouette Store (Merry Christmas #5347, Christmas Ornate #23531) along with a couple of wooden shapes with plenty of Stickles applied. I love crafting at this time of year when I can really go to town with the glitter!
For card number 2 I used a simple snowflake design and arranged it in 3 rows of 3 inside a square. I then rotated the snowflakes slightly and reattached them with a foam square to give a bit of dimension and to allow me to show the paper behind. I finished off with another wooden snowflake covered in glittery stickles and a little gem in the middle.
Card number 3 – probably the simplest of all but I just love this die cut! (Phrase Christmas Tree #4630). I sprayed the die cut with Mister Huey’s Calico Shine and then attached to the card, a teeny wood veneer star topped it off. This one would be super easy to mass produce with your Silhouette for all your friends and family this year!

Creative Craft World – October Mini Challenge
I must say, this months mini kit from Creative Craft World is just gorgeous! The papers are all from the Teresa Collins Tell Your Story range along with co-ordinating die cut flowers, gems and stickers. There was loads too – I made 5 cards but I probably could have managed another 1 or 2!
You can see what the rest of the design team made over at the Creative Craft World blog, and don’t forget to show us your mini projects to be in with a chance of winning!
October Scrap Map Challenge at Creative Craft World
Yes, it’s that time again! And it would appear to be a month since I last blogged – eeek!
Well never mind, at least I have something to share, creativity has been a bit thin on the ground of late, but I do feel a bit more inclined to play with my pretty papers at the minute so shall keep going while the going is good!
I made this layout using the latest Scrap Map Saturday sketch, which you can see over at the Creative Craft World blog, along with all the other pages that the design team have created.
I used Echo Park Paradise Beach papers, both 12×12 and 6×6. Funnily enough I wasn’t really sure if I would use these papers when I bought them as some of the patterns are a bit, er, specific, shall we say? Flip flops and surf boards, anyone? However the B-sides all have lovely patterns so I have found those much more usable and they are coming in handy for scrapping Cornwall pictures from earlier in the year.
The title and sunburst patterns were cut on the Silhouette, and I apparently can’t get enough of Studio Calico wood veneer shapes at the moment, they are my embellishment of choice!
September Scrap Map Challenge at Creative Craft World
Oh my goodness, I can’t believe it is September already! Where has the last few months gone?!
Anyway, it’s time for another Scrap Map Challenge at the Creative Craft World blog. You can see the sketch that I used as inspiration for my layout over there, along with the other layouts from the rest of the Design Team.
I took these pictures back in March this year when we had a day out on the East Lancs railway. Jamie enjoyed riding on the steam train!
