It’s time for another Scrap Map Challenge over at the Creative Craft World blog.
We had so much fun last month we have decided to do another design team blog hop this month to show you the projects we all made using Sue’s sketch for this month. Pop over to the blog to see the sketch and if you want to start from the beginning of the blog hop that’s the place to be!
Dont forget to leave a comment on all the blogs in order to be entered into the prize draw, plus there is another prize up for grabs if you use the sketch and link us up.
Hard to believe that another month has passed already, but it’s time for our next installment of Beat The Christmas Rush over at the Creative Craft World blog. Every month on the 25th we are going to try and increase our Christmas card stash in advance so we have plenty ready for the big day!
I’m also pleased to be hosting another Christmas card designer on my blog today – my mum!
If you would like to join in our Beat The Christmas Rush monthly challenge then all you have to do is make one or more Christmas cards, they can be all the same design or different, it doesn’t matter! Head over to the CCW challenge blog and add a link to your cards to the challenge post over there – simple!
We had some lovely cards in last months entries and it was hard to pick a favourite, but I think the cards below were my favourites from Wendy over at Scrapbooks and Cookbooks. Wendy said her cards were quick and easy to make – just what we need!
The new February mini kit is launched today at Creative Craft World. The kit has a fab selection of papers from the My Minds Eye Unforgettable collection – some gorgeous turquoise and pinks that are unfortunately not showing up very well on my photo’s. I’ll have to wait for the weekend and try and take some pictures in daylight – I hate this time of year for photographing craft projects!
So why not go and check out the post over on the Creative Craft World challenge blog, you can join in the challenge with any mini project that you make this month whether it is a card, layout, ATC, Project Life card – so long as it is smaller than 12×12 you can enter and you could win a fab prize!
Its the first Saturday of the month so that means it’s time for a new Scrap Map Challenge over at the Creative Craft World blog!
This month we are doing things a little differently and the design team are hosting a blog hop to show you the layouts we made from Sue’s sketch. Make sure you click over to the blog to see the sketch that we used, and don’t forget to link us up to your layouts too. You have hopefully arrived here from Ali’s blog Alipeep’s Art, and your next stop will be Lou’s blog Loopy Lou’s Crafty Mess. Make sure you leave a comment on each blog along the way to be entered into the prize draw!
It was so nice to scrap these lovely sunshiny pictures from a couple of years ago on a cold January day, while the piles of snow from the weekend are still melting on my garden. Sometimes I feel like I will never be warm again
I used papers from Echo Park’s Paradise Beach collection (perfect for summer pictures!) along with plenty of Silhouette die cuts.
Here’s a full list of blogs participating in the blog hop this month…
• Doodles and Swirls (you are here!)
No, I’m not actually celebrating anything (although almost all the snow has gone, yay!) but here’s a card anyway. Made entirely from things that were hanging about on my desk that I had cut out for other projects but they didn’t quite work. Don’t you just love it when that happens? And now, when I do have something to celebrate – well, I have a card all ready to celebrate it with!
Today we are launching a new linky party over at the Creative Craft World blog! Our aim is to get ahead with Christmas card making so that we will be well prepared when Christmas 2013 gets here.
Check out the launch post over at the Creative Craft World blog.
Here are my cards for this month – rather than 5 I have just made 4 as that way it was just one 12×12 sheet of each design.
As this is our first month I thought I would share this lovely card made by Nat which you can see here on her blog. So simple but that snowflake looks almost sugar coated!
It’s the start of a new year and time to make a start on our first challenge of the year over at Creative Craft World! Today is the launch of the new scrap map challenge for January – head over to the CCW blog to see the sketch and the other layouts from the design team.
Jamie is 4 soon – how time flies! He will be starting school this year, sob, I want my baby back! (not really!)
Well. Life got in the way of crafting in the last half of November, but things seem to be a bit more on track now. Only 3 weeks till Christmas (what?! how did that happen?) so will have to start getting some shopping done soon!
